Born into a family of coaches, Kevin's passion for competition runs deep. He discovered disc golf at just 12 years old and quickly became hooked, eventually winning his first major tournament at 15. As he transitioned to a full-time career in the sport, Kevin immersed himself in online tutorials, studying the techniques of top players like Nicola Castro, Kota Hatfield, and Devin Owens. Before each tournament, Kevin fuels up with a solid breakfast, gets a caffeine boost from coffee, and tunes into music for focus. on tournament day I like to wake up about three hours before my tee time I go take a shower I go get breakfast and then I head to the course my dad is a high school football coach he's been coaching for almost 35 years maybe a little bit longer and my mom is also a volleyball coach so coaching runs in the blood I found disc golf when I was 12 years old at church camp I always realized I had a really good skill at it and I just wanted to pursue that I knew I could make some money so I thought I'd give it my best and try to win some tournaments and it was the hell on the border and Fort Smith Arkansas and I was lucky enough to take home the W on that one and that was one of my greatest discoveries ever winning that tournament at the age of fifteen years old I started making the transition to full-time disc golf immediately after I stopped playing football in college when I was much younger and growing up into disc golf I really watched as many youtube videos as I possibly could because back in the day there weren't that many youtube videos there wasn't that much round coverage I immediately gained a liking towards Nicola Castro and then I especially remember two guys by the names of Kota Hatfield and Devin Owens and they were just incredibly fun to watch play before I play a tournament I just make sure that I get a good breakfast nothing too heavy usually just solid breakfast I almost always drink coffee every morning I make sure that I listen to some music before I play a lot of times people will have expectations for me but I'm lucky enough to be able to take that as motivation and see it as people believing in me but I feel like that's just because I have the right personality maybe maybe some people that hear that they might just think that the job's done and they're like oh yeah I'm expected to be at the top I don't have to do any work to get there when that's not the case at all it takes all kinds of work during the tournament to get up top and be up top so whether it's making a nice...
