2026 Discmania Challenge | FPO R1B9 | Burge, Handley, Hansen, Don | Jomez Disc Golf
Experience the high-stakes drama of the 2026 Discmania Challenge presented by True Bank, captured live from the back nine of Round One at Pickard Park in Indianola, Iowa. Casters Erica Stinchcom and Madison Walker, self-proclaimed “hockey geese,” provide energetic commentary on a competitive field that includes standout players like Cadence, Ella Hansen, and others pushing the limits of the course. The broadcast highlights a particularly challenging par five, hole 10, which measures 785 meters and features a notoriously difficult, sloping green that serves as a true gut check for pros. Viewers are treated to an in-depth analysis of strategic options, contrasting the high-risk route through the narrow “woods” against the safer but potentially punishing line over the hill. The discussion explores how wind conditions and headwinds influence shot selection, with players like Cadence attempting aggressive drives through the tree line to secure a position for an approach shot. This segment offers a vivid look at the tactical decisions required to maintain a birdie pace against a hardened layout, featuring real-time reactions to shots, strategic trade-offs, and the intense focus of athletes competing for top scores in a premier disc golf event.

Hello and welcome to the back nine of round one of the 2026 Dismania Challenge presented by True Bank. We're at Pickard Park in Indianola, Iowa. I'm Erica Stinchcom. >> I'm Madison Walker. We're your two hockey geese. >> Honk. >> Quick shout out to the chicken of the woods. >> Yes. And a second shout out just as important to uh Stacy Sarroka making your two hot geese a little hotter with some haircuts. Check out Palamita Hair [laughter] Salon if you're in the area. Honk. Uh we are watching Cadence Virgin and Ella Hansen shoot bogey free four down. Ella with a brutal spit out on nine almost five down. Cat Merch though leading the way. She's six down through nine which is crazy. Uh the course record is 10, but we were saying I think that's going to be hard to attain with this harder layout. Uh hole 10 is a par five, the same as previous years, 785. This is a common play. The route the drone is flying. You maybe see some spikeheisers, but unlikely. You're usually trying to pump through the woods and hopefully get to the edge. Second shot. If you can get over this hill, you are happy. And then you're going down to kind of a narrow pinched green left to right sloping hill. This one's birdiable by everyone, but it can get away from you. I believe it was a headwind, too. >> I think this is one of the hardest greens to attack on the course. >> Yes. Absolute gut check. >> Mhm. Punishing as well. You can take this hiser route, especially if the wind lets you. It seemed to be friendly for it today. Nice and open over there. Holland really pushing that right side a bit too much. And you couldn't really feel the wind on this one, I think, until you got up a little farther. >> Then it was wet, head. >> Yeah. That's why you see a lot of ladies kind of take the risk of going through these woods. You might catch a tree like Cadence just did, but at least you're in bounds. >> I like how you call him the woods. >> The woods. You know, the one the one line of woods. >> The small patch of woods. >> Yes, exactly. >> Oh, Ella with a tree direct. That...
