The 2024 Texas State Championship returns to Rock Park in Round 2 of the FPO R2F9, where top players will compete for the title. Madison Walker and Erica Sting welcome viewers to the event, which is presented by Lone Star Discs. This course, designed by Robert E. Dye, offers a unique birdie and eagle-friendly layout that's sure to please disc golfers. The pros are already showing off their skills, with Anakin Sten from Norway impressing with his accuracy - 100% Fairway hits, 84% Circle 1 x putting, and landing in circle 2 an impressive 72% of the time. Other notable players include Scoggins, Steen, Handley, and Hokom, all vying for the top spot. The course itself has received praise for its wide-open fairways, making it a breath of fresh air after last week's challenges at Sprinkle Valley. The players are taking advantage of this layout to post impressive scores, with many focusing on precision drives, controlled upshots, and strategic putts to navigate the course's repetitive par fours and landing zones.
