hello and welcome to the final 9 of the 2024 Texas State disc golf championships presented by Lone Star discs and happy Easter also I'm Erica stinko I'm Madison Walker and I will be thinking about that chocolate the rest of the round that's all I'm thinking about currently I don't even know what we're doing honk oh it's the final nine tight battle up top Anakin then able to take the lead after starting in a tie with own own went one stroke back Kristen Two Strokes back the lead kind of um a tense feeling on the card we mentioned in the front nine it just feels like a lot is on the line here onan's first potential win Kristen hasn't won in a minute o always just wants it but she's not nailing those Circle two putts uh Sarah Hokum a little far back of our leaders in a tie for 10th just kind of jockeying for position at this point yeah Kristen has gotten second place the last two years at this event so definitely in the hunt also had her worst major finish since 2019 last week so you know she's hungry dismal sixth place whole tens of far 3 325 uh most women take the route the Drone is flying but our lead card Ladies as we saw yesterday A lot of them taking the outside open left line it's kind of a tight Gap with that really tiny Tree on on the left you can go left or right of it um most going to go right of it and then it's really open after that it can be tough to punt on this little Mound um and this is a typical result as almost every hole is out here Landing in circle 2 smooth Heiser from Anakin yep narrowly avoiding that little teeny tree but getting through to the open space it is weird how much that tiny tree is right in the line and just another classic example of these ladies taking kind of a different route than most of the field and why it's gotten them on to lead cart yeah uh just over half the field got to Circle 2 in regulation only eight people getting to Circle one H own with really good power on it does get caught up by that stump right before the circle no...
