2024 Discraft Great Lakes Open | FPO R2B9 | Scoggins, Laine, King, Tattar | Jomez Disc Golf
The 2024 Discraft Great Lakes Open is presented by Garrett J. Verberg and features a thrilling back nine of round two at the Tobogan course in Milford, Michigan. Hosts Erica Stinchcomb and Madison Walker provide expert commentary on the challenging par threes and fives, where Scoggins dominates with birdies on every single hole. Meanwhile, Danny Cen is having a strong round at six down, keeping him among the leaders. The back nine brings more danger, especially on the last couple of holes, with increased wind and elevation changes that require precise technique. Flex shots are discussed as a crucial aspect of navigating this technical par four, where players must aim for a high ceiling to avoid the left side rough. Haley's impressive shot is highlighted as an example of exceptional putting skills. Throughout the round, the hosts note that while many players have been accurate with their drives, the back nine presents unique challenges that require careful approach shots and strategic play.
