Watch as Erica Ccom and Madison Walker break down the challenging back nine of the 2024 Discraft Great Lakes Open, a crucial event on the Elite Series calendar. The duo shares their insights into the strategically designed holes, including the notoriously difficult par-4, hole 10, which demands precision distance control to navigate its uphill layout and narrow landing zone. Paige Pierce, defending champion, faces stiff competition from Missie McGee and Scoggins, who make a strong start with clean front nines. The disc golf pros discuss the importance of course management, particularly on holes with a significant ceiling advantage, such as 10, where accurate throwing placement is key to escaping the dense rough and avoiding out-of-bounds territory. Join Erica Ccom and Madison Walker for a detailed analysis of this pivotal event in the Elite Series calendar.

hello and welcome to the back nine of our feature card uh round one of the 2024 disc craft Great Lakes open presented by Garrett J verberg it's our 15th out of 18 events this year on the disc golf pro tour Elite Series calendar I'm Erica ccom I'm Madison Walker we your two geese and we're here to tell you all about it yeah with professionalism and maybe some candy uh yeah the front nine is where you want to Stack Up Strokes the back is where you hang on there are some par force that are still scorable though but some of the most brutal finishing holes in the game right now four down is holding it up at the top Paige Pierce owns Gog against defending champion and hati L both with that or all three with that score not quite as many birdies as we like to see on our lead card but Missy and own Scoggin having uh some nice clean front nines kicking off the back hole 10 is an uphill par 4507 ft very much a hole with a big distance Advantage cuz the landing Zone if you can get up to a little bit flatter spot here um you have a much better chance of birding it there's a low ceiling here uh as you go farther up the hill no out of bounds which is great but as you can see the rough is rough as we've been saying if you watch the front nine you see a lot of uh forehands or backhand turnovers kind of trying to avoid that low ceiling as you approach uh the green yeah if you don't get far enough up this hill on the t- shot you almost have to throw two nose up to be able to get under that low ceiling so distance is important here on this hole I think this left side also I tend to land on the right the left seems a bit flatter it is a bit flatter but there's that big tree just to the left of the Spotter and those branches stick out more than you expect so if you're too far left uh it's really difficult you get a little bit pinched off Kristen might be dealing with the branches we'll see if she's far enough great distance though and it's nice to see...
