2023 Portland Open | MPO FINALB9 | Hammes, Gossage, Ellis, Proctor | Jomez Disc Golf
The 2023 Portland Open is an Elite Series event and the first-ever Elite Plus rated tournament, with a prize purse of $150. The final round features top players including Adam Hammes, Aaron Gossage, Jeremy Ellis, and Joe Proctor, as well as newcomers to the series. The competition has been intense, with players matching stroke for stroke on the front nine and shooting four under par in similar fashion. As the back-nine approaches, the race is heating up between top contenders, but there are still spots open at the top of the leaderboard. Players like Isaac Robinson have strong front nines, while others may be falling behind. The 10th hole, a challenging par-4 with multiple gaps and hazards, will play a crucial role in determining who emerges victorious. The final card navigates this treacherous course, where even small mistakes can result in costly penalties. Watch as top players master the art of positioning themselves for optimal shots, avoiding trouble spots like the Guardian trees and bunkers, to emerge victorious in one of disc golf's most exciting events.
