the pro tour championships is kind of what everyone is thinking about coming into the season already you know that points are important at every single event even if you're not getting first place at whatever Elite Series event you're playing you know that it's part of a larger goal to get to the biggest event of the season so the pro tour championships every year is the largest curse that we see all year long and they continue to break that record every single year this year it's $40,000 it's more than we have ever seen for any first place finish and what's really cool is they're matching it with no and Foo so the format for the protour Championships is a little bit different than we've ever seen before we have a very separate semi-finals and finals the semi-finals is the first two days of competition the best finishers of the Season get a stroke Advantage depending on where they are first place gets five Strokes second place gets four strokes and so on and so forth it goes down in little grouping so that stroke advantage that you get from placing well the rest of the season helps you in your semifinals first two rounds of competition after the semi-finals is over eight people move on to the finals there is no stroke Advantage anymore it does not matter about your finish all it matters is those first two days getting you to these last few days then we play normal stroke competition the culmination of this event comes at Nevan Park in Charlotte Charlotte North Carolina is a Mecca of Disc Golf in the United States there's so many disc golf courses here but what it's known for is wooded disc golf it's kind of the roots of disc golf Nevan Park is I think the hardest track that we play all year long so we come here with the biggest purse the biggest sponsors the new format that we've never played before and then we do it at the hardest course we play all year hello and welcome to the final event of the season the disc golf pro tour championships presented by barbasol I'm Madison Walker I'm Erica stinchcomb we're the two hot geese H we're doing it out here at Nevin Park here in beautiful Charlotte huge purse uh season wrapping up exciting...
