hello and welcome back to the 2021 national amateur disc golf tour championships presented by met center we are in austin texas i am nate sexton joined by jeremy colling and paul yuliberry we had a very exciting front nine with two players both from south carolina really emerging as the two guys in the background who are battling for this title red hand is shooting seventh down the front nine leading the way as far as that front nine but still in first place is micah groth holding on to a two shot advantage with nine holes to go calvin pettigrew tall powerful he is seven back and he is in third place and rounding out the card we have matt matt hannu or there was a hannu and a hanny hold 10 par 4 606 another kind of sparsely populated woods hole here with just a little bit of trees so the the rough not really a big factor see if these guys can avoid the early tree hit at only 606 i feel like if you hit that first gap get off the tee you're in play for birdie yeah and calvin and brent here it seems like they've been hitting these gaps really nicely yes oh my goodness like just lacing it yeah brent hasn't hit a tree on this front right that i can remember it's and we're on the back nine now and he still hasn't hit anything micah i like how he's been throwing it super low and controlled it looks like his ankle control is really nice he has a short compact um swing and that hanny matt hanny it i mean he's still playing solid he was in fourth coming into this back nine and if he can hold on to that he's gonna be super happy i mean uh what was there 1200 players 1268 players across a bunch of divisions here in austin yeah i mean there's a lot of talent here to emerge in a fourth place almost podium finish it's over 300 players in this division alone yeah i mean that's just that's something you can definitely hang your hat on see what i'm saying this kid is just releasing those kind of tight lines i don't like that a lot wow what a shot that is every bit deserving of a birdie after that drive hitting...
