hello and welcome back to leicester massachusetts for round two coverage of the 2021 mvp open at maple hill big berry commentary jeremy calling joined by the euls jules mann all yields labari all heals all right group six low profile eagle mcmahon shredfest 900 par obviously in first place congratulations on your round ricky wysocki solid six under par that just shows you how hard this place is yeah doing it off t at 83 fairways hits adam hames tied with him doing it different ways and he also has the same birdie percentage of 61 percent as eagle but he is three back so a lot more bogeys joel freeman also six six under he's three back incredible first round from eagle though in the very windy conditions that we had in round one not very common out here to be super duper gusty but it wasn't round one and eagle birdied a bunch hole one par four iconic everyone's home one on their dream 18 i feel like you know the whole you know what it is let's check in with joel freeman today what do you think hello my name is joel freeman i'm from love in colorado my disc golf journey started in 2011 i was a junior in high school i was pretty good right off the bat i could probably throw 350 beforehand right off the bat first time i ever went tried out my first tournament in 2014. i watched a lot of youtube videos and whatnot felt like i could keep up with the best players in the world with a little bit of hard work as my college experience was kind of doing this my disc golf experience was kind of doing that and i just took that to mean that disc golf was the direction that i should go yeah and then 2018 was the year where i felt like i was ready to hit the road right off the bat first event the las vegas challenge in 2018 and battling it out to the end with eagle mcmahon on the card took down second place my first event of tour coincidentally my touring journey started about the same exact time that i met who's now my wife alyssa i met joel in november of 2017. joel plays guitar i sing and play violin ended up spending eight hours...
