hello and welcome to the 2021 las vegas challenge on jomas pro you are watching the disc golf pro tour and you are joined by big sexy barry commentary nate sexton jeremy colling and paul yuliberry let's get into the grip 6 low profile starting the action off obviously calvin heinberg scorching hot round yesterday after the double bogey start still shot the hot round 12 under par right behind him at 11 under pars a couple of players maybe none more notable than this guy right here paul macbeth 11 under par he's putting well eagle mcmahon he's putting well as well and uh this is going to be an exciting battle for these guys the forehand backhand combo everyone garrett gerthy is smooth as smooth as it gets as as really long off the tee as it gets and obviously i'm super excited to see him play hole seven again this year coming in on hole one par three 393 feet with out of bounds down the entire right side a little bit of a hill to control your speed coming in and before we get to the action we're gonna take a little walk down memory lane with one calvin heimberg my name is calvin heinberg i'm 25 years old and i'm from safety harbor florida it's crazy how disc golf has blown up the past year the amount of people that i don't recognize on my local courses people are picking me out in grocery stores and just random places that i would normally go and no one wouldn't even know who i am so it's wild my first big win was at the las vegas challenge in 2019. he does not want those coming down the stretch here calvin is unrelenting here over the pin he snuck it in the bucket it was the beginning of my first full year on tour and it was the first stop on the national tour i've been playing all off season and came into the tournament very well prepared felt very confident i was able to come away with a national tour victory and it will be a win i'll never forget but this story is calvin heinberg there he is i was talking to him right before he tapped that putt out asking if he was gonna do something funny that's not my stuff no and it...
