The 2021 Idlewild Open is a thrilling round of professional disc golf competition that took place at the iconic Idlewild Park in Northern Kentucky. Jeremy Kohling and Paul Yuliberry provide expert commentary on this highly anticipated event, joined by experienced players Kevin Jones, Calvin Heimburg, Eric Oakley, and Chris Dickerson. The duo discusses the challenges of navigating the course's unique blend of open shots and treacherous rough, where bad kicks can quickly become costly mistakes. Kohling and Yuliberry delve into the strategies and strengths of each player, including Jones' rise to prominence after a standout performance at last year's Ottawa Open. They also touch on Heimburg's impressive -20 finish from the previous year and Oakley's upward trend in recent competitions. Meanwhile, Dickerson, who finished second last year, is looking to build on his success with a spot-the-look-for improvement. With its challenging layout and beautiful scenery, Idlewild Park has proven itself to be a favorite among pro players, offering a true test of skill and focus.
