hello everyone and welcome to the second round coverage of the 2019 Texas State disc golf Championship presented by disc craft I'm Paul Ulibarri I'm joined by Bryan Earhart what do we got Bryan we have some familiar faces and some new faces we have Andrew Marr weed from Michigan I think this is gonna be his first time on Joe mez coverage he's in the lead at 9-under PAR right now and a familiar face Ricky Wysocki switching over to interval this year at negative 8 loose cannon bandana guy Risley sitting in at Nega 8 and a somewhat unfamiliar face Alex Russell who's actually had a fantastic start to the season so far at negative 7 what's hole 1 like here Paul yeah so we get started off real quick with a tough one this is actually playing the second hardest hole on the course this particular round par-5 1,130 feet the wind kind of switched for this round if you notice in round one it was a right-to-left crosswind and today it's going to be playing as a straight tailor so we're gonna be seeing I think a few sidearms off the tee I know Andrew is known for having a big sidearm here and so I believe he's gonna be throwing a stable disc kind of out left to try to bring that back into the fairway and it's really the safest play for the hole if you have the distance a little bit of slippage on the tee pad I think he's gonna be off to the right maybe having to throw through some trees here yeah and that's something other did know another thing to note is that it was actually kind of drizzling almost a whole entire round yeah so and I thought it was gonna be a huge thunderstorm but we kind of got lucky there AJ throwin and enforcer and that's your typical mistake with the backhand is turning it over too much because of that OB to the left you know once you get past a mando tree that's all inbounds and so it kind of almost guarantees our Rickey doing pretty much the same thing he did in day one throwing kind of a safe Heiser flick putting it in bounds and really the only ops he's gonna have is a tiny gap of those two trees over there...
