we are here with you play founder and dgn commentator and analyst zoe andy zoe welcome to stockton how are you doing this week i'm doing great yeah it's really nice to be back on the west coast finally and we hear that you are uh promoting a new release from you played you want to tell us a little bit about that i'd love to yeah this is probably the most special and fantastic week of my life um the you play disc golf basics our curriculum our basic teaching guide is finally out for sale to the masses it's on the market this is something i put over 10 years of my life into writing and then over the the pandemic or since the pandemic started a really focused two years of writing editing and producing the book so it's nice to have it out well tell us a little bit about the writing process we know you've been out doing clinics with you play how much how much of that experience went into what you wrote in the book yeah thanks for asking um every single educational experience whether it's been in a school teaching a clinic anything i've done with the women's leagues or youth groups all throughout the last 17 years literally has has been something important uh into writing this book all the experience um had to be collected it's going to be an ongoing process forever just because that's really how education works but kind of have to like hit the hit the start button at some point to release all the experience and get it out there so people can use it um you said this is a book about the curriculum is this targeted towards teachers or students or both yeah thanks um so this book is for everybody first of all it's the basic introduction to all of the technique that it takes to play disc golf at a basic level so if any of you out there are looking to pick the sport up this book is for you this book is also primarily written for teachers we've got it broken down from kindergarten age elementary school teachers all the way up through high school and college education so it's a way to learn the terminology the proper terminology introduce the basics in a skills progression so i guess...
