hey everybody welcome to gatekeeper media's coverage of the women's open of maryland edition number four presented by blue chip technologies i'm andrew fish joined here by michelle fraser you're gonna get to see 27 holes on both days here at seneca creek state park in maryland it's a beautiful course and beautiful far wet fall weather and colors you'll get to see yeah we're super appreciative of our sponsors for the event this this coverage in particular sponsored by blue chip technologies rob stark has been uh very supportive of several disc golf events in the virginia and mid-atlantic area um thank you to discraft and thank you to all the patreon supporters of gatekeeper media you keep those folks on the road and you know they put out good work so uh thank you to them michelle what are you looking for going into this uh this round in this tournament yeah so like i said it's 54 holes of golf and it's very wooded golf so i had the privilege to practice a couple rounds and get to learn the different shot shapes required to play well on this course it's par i believe 94 so several par 4 is out there lots of birdie opportunities but also a lot of trouble to get into and we have a field of 12 open women a few touring pros there and few locals and they're all came out ready to play in the woods like you see here on hole one yeah for sure hole one kind of starts you off the a little bit of a gauntlet you're you need to keep something straight you can throw a forehand or a backhand but uh you need to make sure that you're in the fairway to make it an attackable three so um first on the card in this feature card we have missy gannon who is playing for disc craft and she's going to show us hopefully how to get down this gauntlet it's a good swing pushes it to the right edge of the fairway a little bit of a dead skip huh yeah but still have a putt which i would be content with um on the first hole right um beth kimball is second on the card she's from richmond virginia switched over from ultimate to disc golf a couple years ago and showing...
