thank you Mike uh can everybody hear this one yeah okay so uh thank you all very much for being here to listen to me give a little bit of a talk um I don't know if anybody knows but I I founded the pro tour um back in 2016 uh ran it from 2016 to 19 and today I want to tell the story of the founding of the protour um it is uh not without irony that I named this speech you can't fail if you don't try because sometimes we fail um hopefully while you were sitting here you had a chance to read this quote from Teddy Roosevelt the man in the arena um it basically says uh you can't fail if you don't try uh the guy that the guy that doesn't do anything doesn't fail at anything and I'd rather be the guy that fails at stuff um where we are in life is different than where we are headed uh take um you need to understand where you're trying to get to and then take a step in that direction and then take another one and another one um being open to failing is what allows us to succeed and create stuff uh I'd like to say thanks to Ben Kenny for putting on a ridiculous Northeast disc golf Expo yeah at at times I'm going to give a noticeable pause and that's when you guys clap okay we can uh maybe Craig can edit that together a little bit um also uh Ben said I have an hour to talk my speech is maybe 35 40 minutes afterwards if you guys have any questions we can uh maybe do a little Q&A afterwards um again thank you all for being here you guys being here um genuinely makes me happy uh I walked out in the parking lot at the beginning when there was that line and I actually just paused and like breathed deep feeling all of the energy that was here uh we are dis Golf and wow we're real like we did it thank you all for being here um so I want to start this talk talk with uh just just a little exercise that some inspirational coach would do I'm not an inspirational coach um but you're allergic to bees you're deep in the woods um and...
