hey folks welcome back to the series nick hansen with gatekeeper media we are here for a practice round at texas state disc golf championship we're at lindsay park and the layout we're playing today is called the thorn i've got my friend aaron gossage here he's been on a hot streak lately so i thought none other than to bring him on today so that way we can hopefully see some good shots some long shots not only backhand and forehand out of him um but we're here for a good practice round today aaron how you feeling about the course so far yeah i'm feeling pretty good about the course i've got a pretty good game plan going in a couple shots i'd like to practice up a little bit on but a lot of bomber holes i'm throwing far on a lot of shots a couple of them if you don't get clean off the tee you're definitely not getting a birdie so sweet so this is going to be my first round here so aaron's going to really show me the way today um erin do you have a favorite hole out here so far um yeah um i think that old hole 17 i think it's um what six in this layout is probably my favorite hole sweet it's a nice par four with the wooded green so um definitely a solid one that sounds awesome let's get to the action how we doing keep it moving all right folks we're here at hole one 392 feet par-3 we've got the elevated basket there it's on a three-tier system it's pretty sweet honestly um i'm probably going with the forehand off the tee i would say just to skip into the structure is that what you're doing as well or your forehand off the t's definitely play if you have it just to keep it safe the whole way away from the road and then yeah you're trying to land a little bit short skip maybe up to that first tier but uh if you're outside the circle it's it's a sketchy putt yeah if you're outside are you laying it up maybe if i'm even a little bit inside i'm laying it up okay so honestly i haven't played with no wind so um i don't know today i i might try running a...
