okay welcome into the otb open press conference first up paige pierce page it's hot out here i don't know how the weather was in hawaii first of all how was the time off and uh how are you preparing for this event this week yeah it was it was very hot there as well but it's quite a bit different it was very humid there and here is zero percent humidity it's dry my lips are trapping my fingers feel like they need lotion but obviously that's not what you want to do out here for disc golf so i think just to prepare is is kind of make sure your grip's good i got my whale sack in my hand all the time it's not even going in my bag i'm walking down the fairway with it so that's probably the biggest preparation and just staying hydrated this course is really long par 70 for the women so just trying to maintain the energy level and stay hydrated and find shade when you can i do want to ask you about the course but uh just real quick on on the break you took dynamic disc open obviously um is there something specific you were just kind of doing were you just kind of getting ready for the next event uh talk about sort of your mindset and taking that break and then coming back uh yeah i i you know i've been on the road for 12 i think 12 seasons now and so i've just decided that i don't have to play every tournament and so just take off when i don't feel like i'm fired up about it when i don't feel uh inspired the course in emporius is a little lackluster in my opinion just throw hyzer as far as you can and even you know bad shots sometimes land and bound so i i just decided it was one that i could take off especially considering we're going into pro tour pro tour nt pro tour major major worlds and so i wanted to kind of give my body a little rest and was kind of looking for some property and also had a huge project that i can't discuss right now but uh yeah got a lot of work done got a lot of putting in and yeah just trying to find...
