all right back here with the tour director and ceo jeff spring big movement this year from a very revered course in blue lake to a newcomer on tour glendavier just want to give you a chance to kind of talk about the process behind that and and some of the advantages that you found yeah i mean first of all um it was not our choice you know we we want to be at blue lake we wanted to be there that's where we were in 2019 that that course was the impetus for founding this event in 2019 you know one of the transformative moments in my disc golf career was at the 2014 world championship there i was there um i saw the three thousand four thousand plus people that were out uh and and i saw paul and ricky you know making magic in that playoff um and said this course you know is incredible this city is incredible the disc golf scene here is incredible so uh when i got an opportunity to kind of found and run an event here with all the great people portland disc golf like dustin and zoe brian cole stumptown all the all the folks that helped stumptown and make it go i said yeah awesome let's go to blue lake blue lake deserves a yearly event so i can't um really speak more highly of that course it's it's awesome um so coming here is also awesome but uh it was out of necessity and i think that's something that i you know i hope everybody understands it was six weeks ago that we had to make the final call because metroparks said we can't confirm your reservations still after weeks and weeks of bugging them saying hey can you confirm this are we good to go but the kovid restrictions on their staff and their operation just was going to extend to july and i couldn't get any movement i even took it up the chain went to the metro parks you know council or you know tried tried to do everything we could but we love metro parks we understand where they're coming from we had a couple backup venues and this was the one that um you know gave us the opportunity um and and yeah i'll leave it there but happy to talk more...
