and joining us now rushing off the course don't spoil the skins outcome but we've got james conrad here james this year so far you've started off with a 23rd at las vegas a 12th at waco and then a fourth at texas state so you're trending on the scorecard in the right direction does it feel that way to you yeah yeah it feels like i've been uh playing some pretty good golf you know in las vegas i took a couple just really big numbers you know i had like an eight a couple eights or something on my score cards that killed my chances and then waco was a tight field 12th i think i was only three strokes off the podium off a podium finish and then in texas states i was right in the mix all week so i've been happy with how i've been playing and um if i can just get get everything clicking this week i think i got a good chance and clicking does that mean you feel like you've struggled with anything in particular or you know what has it been to see this improvement or is it just eliminating a few of the big mistakes that you had maybe like you said at vegas i think i think uh i haven't quite been putting everything together you know some days my driving has been really dialed in but maybe i've left some opportunities out there on the putting green and then days when my driving hasn't been quite as hot it might be the days that i'm kind of picking up the slack on the green so if i can stay clean off the tee and stay clean on the putting green you know that's putting it all together for me and last year the only victory that you had well was the big one it was the world championships do you do anything differently to gear up for a major because you're out there grinding every weekend and playing in elite series events but this is the first major of 2022 do you prepare yourself in any way any differently i don't think there's anything too different physically about my preparation for a major but it's definitely maybe a little easier for me to kind of take it as serious as possible and to just uh just to...
