This is January 3rd of 2024. I'm sitting here making grilled cheeses. Mhm. And I'm telling you right now, I'm in my senior year of high school, thinking about college next year. And I'm telling you right now, in four years. And and when I say four years, I'm being absolutely generous because ideally this is happening next year. And it is. It will. You're looking at the 2025 College National Disc Golf Champion, Jesse Long. Remember the name? Heat. Heat. Come on, please. Thank you. Come on. What dude? No. Woo! Congratulations. Thank you. It is my honor to introduce to you your division one college disc golf national champion from Eastern Menanite, Jesse Longenecker. Let's get you. Jessie. Yeah. Yeah. Jesse, congrats on being a D1 singles collegiate champion. Thank you. Final nine, big stage, three-stroke lead. What was going through your head as you stepped onto the tea? Uh, I was really nervous. Um, yeah, I don't know. I kind of yanked my first drive, but was able to keep it in bounds the rest of the day for the most part. And yeah, just felt good to play clean. So, talk about a moment during the round that stood out for you that was a turning point. Uh, definitely probably that putt on hole one. Um, yeah. I don't know. It felt like I just had a chance and tossed it up there and went in. I don't know. I guess also putting putting it in on the island on uh I guess USCGC 17, but for this is hole 14. So, what does this win mean to you, not just as a player, but as a representative of your school? Oh, boy. Uh, it feels great. I don't know. I, you know, put putting Eastern Men University on the map, I guess, in college disco. So, yeah, feels really good.
