Gavin Rathbun On His Shoulder Injury, Playing DDO As A Dynamic Sponsored Athlete & His Gameplan

Gavin Rathbun opens up about his recent shoulder injury and return to competitive disc golf as a dynamic sponsored athlete. In an in-depth conversation with Brian, Gavin shares his personal experience of undergoing surgery and the grueling physical therapy process that followed. The two discuss how a combination of overtraining and neglecting flexibility exercises contributed to the injury, which occurred during his off-season preparation for the 2021 season. Gavin reveals he feels only around 75% of his full potential in terms of health, and the physical toll of recovering from the injury is still evident as he returns to the course. With a strong emotional investment in disc golf, Gavin expresses gratitude to be back among friends and teammates, and admits that it doesn't matter what scores he achieves – the joy of being back in his element is all that matters.
