back here with our defending champ double g garrett gerthy uh how does it feel to be back in santa cruz man it feels great you know i get a little uh goosebumps coming into the course and all and uh just that feeling two years ago of making that last putt and making that first big accomplishment that's just the first thing that comes to mind as i'm coming through the course so you know some emotions comes out and hopefully i can thrive on those this weekend to pull out another one yeah i mean it's pretty epic the fact that you have to drive through the golf course literally on this property um did any like particular memories come back because you're literally driving between the holes you were playing there oh yeah the downhill shot i can't exactly recall the hole but the downhill shot where i threw my big spike hyzer down there and almost aced in the basket and just knowing that last drive on hole 18 i just had it wrapped in the bag i just remember throwing my red x cal keeping it safe laying up and uh taking down my first big win you know it's just i miss it but uh this year we're going to go without it and we're going to keep our head up and do our best so yeah i mean no golf course this year obviously we're just staying at the traditional de la viega track but you still had to put in work two years ago to kind of get into that position um and now you get three rounds at that course are you more excited or more nervous given the potential to get daylight at any time you know i don't really worry about getting daylogged you know i've been in many situations so i try to make do with what i have and try not to get myself in too many situations like that and quite frankly if you stay out of the day laws you know you're you're going to be around the top so that's my plan this weekend to throw the mid-ranges and fairways right down the middle keep them center you know maybe pick up a two on i-5 this weekend that'll be a goal and myself we'll see how it goes well i think you kind...
