welcome back everybody to the back nine coverage of round one of the 2020 down east players cup presented by basket bashers i'm brian earhart joined here again by nathan queen walking us through the course how's it going buddy doing well man looking forward to this back nine we've got a good stretch of par fours to start uh three or four of them if i remember correctly and uh if you saw the the front nine then you'll know we only have a few players this round instead of four with barry unfortunately tweaking something in his back after a slipped uh or after slipping on hd pad yeah and you know we can only hope that barry does come back okay from it he's been such a long time legend of the sport you can hope that it's just a temporary injury as you can see dan hastings and taylor ruflowski are both under par five and four under scott after a really nasty uh quadruple bogey uh is gonna be three over par hole number ten what do we what do we see here we've got uh 514 feet par four your landing zone is typically about right here off the tee uh you'll see people try to go for it maybe and get out here as well and have an easier out shot for the four but it's a pretty tough gap to hit you've got a shape for a righty it's kind of unless you've got a good forehand it's hard to force the issue you can see it's kind of forcing you into the woods if you hit the gap so dan here pulling it a little too far right that's a great role and he's almost back into the middle he can still reach the basket from there taylor going with a screamer out of the hand that's gonna hit and kick way lefty yeah that hit pretty early and kicked into some thick stuff on the left scott going with a fairway driver and just kind of turning it over um he gets a kick off to the left sometimes there's a gap there sometimes there's not depends on where you land at dan with a solid flex sidearm oh my gosh and there's the basket after missing the gap he's only at the gap that was probably a 340 foot...
