g'day and welcome to Gatekeepers coverage of the 2023 Queensland open presented by disconnection and disc doctor this coverage has been provided by Rad gatekeeper media and disc golf Justice we're at the beautiful Pine Rivers Park in Brisbane Australia Sunny tropical Queensland it's winter but the sun's out I'm Tim Bowen and I'm joined in the booth with Paddy Robinson and Andrew Ferguson together with a tee off commentary good to be back boys yeah Keen Keen for a big back nine it's never not sunny in Queensland Sunshine State here's our Frontline results we've got Aaron Morton Jay Brady and both on even Dave Perry plus four Crystal plus seven yeah struggling a bit boys they are yeah but hopefully we'll see some birdies here big hole to start there back nine hole 10 141 meters par three uh the basket is tucked away in the trees here and uh the tea is a little bit elevated so hopefully they get a little bit extra distance on the drives to give that birdie a good look but uh yeah 141 meters no joke Drive absolutely slightly elevated T but more or less a flat hole so very difficult to get into the circle for a birdie on this one particularly in the wind as we saw on the front line the wind was ripping it's a big right to left as well you might get a little bit of shelter from some of these trees on the right hand side but there's a couple of gaps where it's just whipping through it's yeah yeah it's going to be a bit tricky Jade was no chance as the wind sock front of the Box oh this is the fact that Dave thinks he can get there with a forehand just shows how much of a cannon of a forehand he's got I I actually I really love the thought of that um you know with that right to left hopefully uh you know you would have learned to seen that expose the wing of the disc a little bit more and right over but yes like Aaron's made the same mistake maybe they're just not quite getting exposing it oh looks like he fought through the rocky Boulders over there yeah gonna be a little come on Chili tricky up and downs oh come on come out of it...
