hello and welcome back to Liberty Missouri for gatekeeper and Heiser media's combined coverage of grip equipment's 42nd Kansas City Wide Open presented by DFX discs this is a disc golf prot tour Q Series event and we're very excited to bring you this coverage I'm Nathan Johnson joined in the booth today by Dan Brooks Wells how's it going Dan doing good man this is a tough and challenging course we've been watching here and it's hot out today who do we got on this lead card yeah we got GT Hancock leading the way followed by Jake M Parker Welk and Kevin kefir taking a look at the rest of the top 10 plenty of guys in the mix and like you said Dan this is a very challenging track so I'm expecting we'll see plenty of shifting up and down the leaderboard as we go throughout the day yeah and we are starting here on hole one par 4 575 ft there is a ob Pond a lot of players shoot out to the left and then pitch up to the green or some of the bigger arms try and actually go for this uh farther left um Landing zone or just go for the green itself but either way you're having to deal with ob yeah fun starting hole we got GT Hancock leading us off after that seven under first round already took down a Q Series event this year at the capital of Texas open so he would love to uh grab another Dub here this week and really secure his spot in the qualifying series finale at the end of this year that t-shot will work out just fine over there inbounds short left yeah the farther you get off the the easier it is to approach the green because you don't have to put so much I'd say power on the shot but it's doable from anywhere so here is Jake man have you seen Jake play before yeah I've watched him play a couple times he's a South Carolina guy not too far away from me is usually out and about on the tour that's a going to be a difficult approach from the the woods there but should work out just fine got Parker wel on the lead card as well apparently I've heard that Parker's car was stolen the...
