and welcome back disc golf fans to the final nine holes of the 2024 open at Austin presented by flight Factory discs out here at the Harvey pennick Golf Course in Austin Texas we got to see lots of birdies and even an eagle on the front nine and I'm excited to watch these four players finish out the tournament here I'm Nathan Queen again joined by Andrew fish and that Sunday weather did inene rain so if if you did not see or hear our front nine coverage we are going to be playing just six holes on this back nine in order to uh finish in something resembling daylight everybody on this card making a push up the leaderboard doing their best to win a hat Nathan yeah absolutely so with some great rounds on that front moving into hole 10 315 ft downhill Island hole plenty of room on either side for a forand or backhand forehand you're going to be on the island for longer backand you've got to carry just a bit more and very firm direct shot from Calvin heimberg squeaks it over the path in the air and then a nice little backboard from a tree yeah Cory Ellis with well I was going to talk about how he's birdied every other hole going to be looking for his first backto back birdies but chooses a strange a strange option there I don't I don't understand why him or AB need to throw this much height on this shot but here we are it's ostensibly for distance control and making making it play a Against the Wind just feels like a little bit too much complication does work out for ab mared going to play the forehand wide out to the left gets the wind reaction and into the bullseye yeah beautiful shot there from mared we'll take another look at it here not making things too complex just doing what it looks like going to card that birdie yeah you see how efficient his wrist reaction is this is Ellis for par from the drop Z is going to continue with that every other Yeah couple good par saves to keep that going I'm sure he's looking for some back-to-back birdies though and yeah just knew it from the release wasn't happy with it but should have himself a tester now able...
