welcome back disc golf fans to round two front nine coverage of the 2024 Texas State disc golf championships presented by lonar discs we had a great card to watch that front nine with Anthony barel leading the field now after round one thank you guys for joining us for round two I'm Nathan Queen getting joined by Andrew fish yeah delighted to be here probably a little bit less Gusty winds today for Saturday's play and we are going to watch Ezra aderhold Nathan Queen Robert burd and Jake Heimer yeah pretty neat jump out on a Chase Card early on in the season hopefully I can stay up there throughout the rest of the year that's always the goal uh what what was it for you in round one that got you there was it big throws was it big putts uh just good throws I was putting myself pretty close to the basket yeah I I feel like that's a good theme out here you you just chip away and and make good shots ho one there is a mandatory to beat about halfway down OB left and right likely to see mostly backhand flexes welcome Ezra aderhold oh bit too much Flex on that one representing Inova Champion discs and dark please welcome Nathan Queen yeah that's a tough way to start does it make you take you know one more moment to reset and find your landing spot uh usually not um especially with just such a different type of throw set yeah we saw all four backhand players in round one righty backand players and I guess you have to attack this course substantially differently than that yeah I'm going left side of this tree everybody was flexing around and I just like to her back after that maybe not quite as far right as you like but pretty good shot to start presenting Lone Star discs and gorilla disc golf please welcome Robert burd we saw Houston local Robert Burridge in round one on the feature card and he has earned himself a spot once again on the Chase card for round two yeah just like you said chipping chipping away at the course earlier on had some birdie chances earlier that he didn't capitalize on but just kept giving himself those chances and eight Downs solid round and a solid t- shot...
