welcome back disc golf fans to the 2024 Texas State disc golf championships presented by Lone Star discs we are here for round one back nine coverage what seemed like could be a slow start from Chase card but really not all that bad for a few players as uh more of the front nine averaged over par than under I'm Nathan Queen getting joined by Andrew fish yeah on this temporary setup at Brock Park Texas States has historically moved around a little bit found a home here for the uh for a couple years at Brock Park in Houston Robert burd Ricky Waki Anthony Barella and Luke Humphrey's here to do some work starting on H 10 whole 10 720 feet a par four straight ahead just like the front nine left and right sides both going to be constrained without out of bounds likely to see some kind of flex backhand play for the t-shot and then figure it out from there as it's kind of some randomly placed trees as you get up toward the basket yeah and pretty tight OB on this oh great shot there from Robert I was jumping to a different hole for a second not to too tight off of the T and Ricky just low out of the hand and even more affected by the wind got smacked right down might be difficult to reach the basket from back there absolutely put himself behind looks like an island of trees Pella urging his D to get up and he does get some good scooches along the ground yeah more than we've seen so far from the front half of this course and really well thrown by humph he is going to fade off to the left side but pushes past a little ditch that bisects the Fairway yeah getting past those trees is Big going to give himself an opening to be able to make some progress on that second shot Ricky makes some good progress down the Fairway there looks like he should should be able to access the pin from there Burge this left side I think the forehand is probably the most open way to attack this green as a pretty wild bounce takes bur into and out of circle one we see Barella here looking straight at it but doesn't get that huge wild skip that...
