2023 The Preserve Championship | R2, F9 | Proctor, Heimburg, Meintsma, Shue | Gatekeeper

The Preserve Championship is a highly anticipated event in the DGPT23 2023 season, and Andrew Fish and Nathan Queen are excited to cover it for viewers. The course is known for its challenging layout, requiring precision distance control, particularly with part threes in the 400-foot range. Four players - James Proctor, Calvin Heimberg, Noah Meintsma, and Grady Shue - are tied at 10 under par, leading the pack with numerous other talented players close behind. The discussion focuses on the strategies of these top players, including James Proctor's reliance on the Globe P Blend Alpaca for mid-ranges and his use of destroyers and Emperors for distance shots. Calvin Heimberg is expected to utilize his Chase Card putters and Toro/ Rock 3 upshots. Noah Meintsma will likely employ his Stone Steady mids, while Grady Shue may choose from a variety of options in the KC Pro arsenal. The Preserve Championship promises to be an exciting event with many high-scoring opportunities on its big, wide-open holes.

Watch Proctor, Heimburg, Meintsma & Shue battle in R2, F9 of The Preserve Championship, featuring gate-to-gate action at a top disc golf tournament.
