foreign welcome back disc golf fans to the 2023 Dynamic Discs open out here at Emporia Country Club in Emporia Kansas I'm Nathan Queen again joined by Nick Hansen how we doing today disc golfers it's a beautiful day here in Kansas we are excited for the low amount of wind that we have something we don't usually see at this uh type of event it has been pushed a few weeks in the schedule just because of how the pro tour goes this year so we're excited and we're enjoying this weather here yeah and so are these players as you see at two at five under and two at three under through the front nine something likely not seen with winds 20 miles an hour higher but the rest of the field we've had a lot of players come out hot in the morning 10 and 9 already setting the pace speaking of 10 here we are at Holton a brand new hole this year 585 feet when I get through this Gap right here and push to somewhere in this area ideally then you have a putter or mid-range shot on a pretty steep uphill slope but pretty short as well Obi is gonna creep in on the left side pretty good change in my opinion to this hole this year yeah I also like this change creating these tunnels when you're on a golf course is nice change of pace a good little flavor yeah and although you see Carter get through those gaps there he doesn't quite get to that second tree line so even though it's a pretty short hole it's still gonna create a a second shot shape and not just have some wide open space to deal with there and going significantly faster and more hyzer looked like catching early not ideal yeah with the low ceiling at that second tree line that's going to make it very difficult for him to reach the basket I like this line from Calvin gets a good push down there and he's going to be down at the bottom of that where he is going to have some height should have enough room to get his disc high enough to reach the PIN yeah obviously these players want to get through that second tree line and get on the upslope but if you can just...
