foreign fans to the final nine of the 2023 Dynamic Discs open here at Emporia Country Club in Emporia Kansas a disc golf pro tour Elite Series event final nine holes uh Evan Smith making a push I'm Nathan Queen again joined by Nick Hanson hello folks how we doing backline is gonna be a good one I can feel it Evan like you said five birdies in a row there to close out that front nine that's what you got to do to start putting pressure on that lead card and try to make a move yeah Ricky wysocki clean on the round as well as Ben Callaway but still sitting there tied for sixth need to get a string of birdies here though keep that string going for Evan if he's gonna catch those leaders brings us into hole 10 585 foot Par Four brand new hole this year we played a par 3 to a position just on the right last year ideally you'd like to get all the way out of the woods to that second tree line at the bottom of the hill so you can have an easy approach I think forehand is the best play to do that backhand seems to come up a bit short and kind of standing you behind those trees for your upshot looks like a pretty good one there how do you feel about this whole change do you like it I do I think the par 3 last year was a good hole as well but it didn't fit the course as well I think this part four fits the course a little better although both were pretty good Callaway up choosing the backhand approach that's gonna be a good one you're gonna get all the way down to the bottom there oh yeah that's the ideal backhand line there pretty much straight and let that natural fade happen sake going with that chop over sidearm tough to tell where that landed but oh my goodness wow he is out past that tree line wide open gonna have 220 yeah if you could place your disc somewhere that's where you're placing it probably you look to have a nice shot there as well but just a bit High late now he's gonna have some early trees to deal with gets through those nicely I'm gonna find himself...
