welcome disc golf fans to the 2023 down east Players Cup presented by gay keeper media empowered by basket Bashers we're here for this pdj a tier event in Greenville North Carolina and we're at East Carolina University disc golf course which is very exciting when the wind is up this course plays very challenging my name is Chris German calling the shots and I have Derek skull with me how you doing I'm doing well really excited to see we do have MJ returning to our card but three new faces for the tournament one new face for coverage as a whole excited to see what Benjamin has under his belt yeah Alex Russell go ahead go ahead I was say Alex Russell with the one-stroke lead uh a couple Strokes just separate him and MJ going into moving day so hole one 345 foot par three uh big swing big Hiser for a righty but with the win that's going to be trouble right so got a couple Guardian trees right there lot of sand in the green and as you can hear a lot of wind in the air yeah it looks like we have a left to right the start a out whoa Alex Russell able to get it inside the circle and we have Benjamin lle so you can see just fighting the wind great shot there at the end Gavin wrath buun been on our coverage in the past he's got a great game and he's going to Showcase it today as he puts himself inside the circle as well MJ keeping it low he didn't want any part of that wind I know the majority of the disc he throws are on the under stable side say was a little I was going to say he was a little short but that does not matter with his putting as you can see there's like zero wind inside of yeah I was literally just going to comment the minute we got inside some tree line relative coverage yeah this we're going to have some Gusty winds today they're going to for the most part some of it's consistent in terms of the type of wind that you're getting out there but on specific holes but there's other times on certain greens where it just gets very Gusty especially at the corners of the property...
