foreign welcome back disc golf fans to the first round back nine coverage of the Discraft ledgestone open presented by Merrell a disc golf pro tour Elite Series plus event I'm Nathan Queen again joined by Andrew fish and we are playing this round one on the Eureka Lake temp course I think everybody's kind of grown to understand what this course is all about it's about being disciplined no shot on this course is really hard unless you make it hard yeah something something of that sort I'll say uh Calvin heinberg making it look quite easy so far as he is in a tie for first at 600 par Cora Dallin Jaden Rye Aiden Scott Chris Dickerson all making a push towards that same spot brings us into whole tin and 425 foot Par 3 with some new OB on the right this year I used to be able to go into that wood wood line and not be OB maybe Scramble now you will be OB so maybe if you've got that power forehand You'll Play into that a little bit more but Friday backhand Fairway driver is what we're going to see from Calvin here yeah I think a lot of right-handed players used to kind of throw at that wood line and hooked hope to punch through now players are throwing something with a little bit more left to right shape on it playing away from that out of bounds this is the conservative play just looking for about a circle's Edge putt from left and short yeah and executed nicely not really bringing India that OB into play and barela plenty of power so he just picks a spot in that tree line and throws an overstable forehand but gonna come up short little too stable it's easy to do on this one that 425 feet seems to play just a bit longer with those late trees it's kind of throwing at those trees and hoping you finish but a lot of time you just end up running around that circle's Edge spot and was that a mid out of gandenberg yeah it seems like it must have been because it never really had that finish of a fairway on it but incredible yeah well measured plenty of height plenty of Glide I'm bird Calvin not ready to stop he's got that six-pack going...
