hey folks so welcome back here to gatekeeper media as we continue to bring you coverage of the 2022 portland open here on the disc golf pro tour we're at blue lake for our first couple of rounds and if you haven't spotted the front nine yet please go check that out also we'd like to give a huge shout out to all of our patreon supporters who helped make this coverage possible once again i'm desperate bringing you the commentary and couldn't be happier to watch these players play one of my favorite courses as far as just how beautiful it is on the tour to take a look at how the front nine went thus far james connor and albert tam topping the charts at four under par mason four still hanging around the top five and thomas gilbert had some big moments in the front nine but also hit a couple of snags and has to play catch up as you can see 400 par is really the pace you need right now to be leading things with two under still keeping it in that top five position as we head over to hole 10 a par three at 295 feet pretty straightforward shot pin kind of plays more to the right hand side of the green so a background turnover or a forehand the more preferred shot ob can kind of come in a little bit tight towards that green so again just about distance control making sure you land correctly and other than that a pretty routine shot for our card like most of these holes they're pretty straightforward just about making sure you stay in bounds and land near the pin a little blind shot on this one but yeah stock forehand will do the job speaking of which albert tan lives up to it perfectly puts it right there near the pin and thomas gilbert trying to get back on track had a good streak of birdies on the first few holes in the front nine but then a couple of bumps but now it's starting to set up maybe another turkey here and yeah that's well played rolls right next to the bull's eye again it's just really about playing against that ob that comes in pretty close on that right hand side of the basket almost invades circle one really on...
