welcome back disc golf fans to the back nine coverage of round one of the 2021 utah open presented by innova champion discs i'm brian earhart joined here again by my co-host holly finley it has been awesome to watch this front nine we have two players on this card that are playing super clean right now yeah it's been fun to watch uh paige and lisa grab a couple birdies and now we get to see ellen and owen try to get some birdies here on the back and they both have been playing really solid too just can't quite get the scoring together we've seen some big putts from ellen we've seen some really solid tee shots and putts from own she's found that ob hazard just a couple times and it seems like her discs are just slipping into those ob sections so hopefully she cleans it up on the back yeah you know that's part of what goes down here at mully so you just try to get it as close as you can to the basket and see if you can capture a bird this is a very unique whole tin 285 feet and you saw us loop under that little tape there that's actually a triple mando so the players must have their disc pass between the two poles and under the rope to correctly make it through the mando and with this backhand from paige this is a soul she kind of has to play through that upper 90s so to speak that top corner of that triple mando because she's not going to get a skip she's going to be in circle two full body commitment from lisa it's hard to get your disc to go that far right with having to hit that triple mando so ellen i think is going to be very well versed at this yeah i like the height she was pushing the limits on that upper part but still we need more heiser to the left to get a circle one putt it seems like see what own has oh boy oh she missed that she went over so it's probably a drop zone uh it's going to be used when you do miss the mando oh folks i love that wow that was cool no time to mess around and lisa almost cashes the circle...
