welcome everybody to the front 12 coverage of round one of the 2021 santa cruz masters cup presented by innova disc golf this is another pdga national tour event the third one of the year i'm brian earhart joined here by special guest co-commentator this week aj risley aj we are in beautiful santa cruz california how are you feeling today i'm feeling great yeah i mean we've got an early morning but this is why i'm here and we've got a great card when i heard about this card i was just so stoked that we got to commentate on it we've got greg barsby nate sexton calvin heinberg and a santa cruz local matt bell yeah just a lot of differing play styles matt bell obviously having a lot of experience at de la viega almost winning this event being on lead card numerous times and greg barsby having an incredible amount of history here fantastic card moving into hole number one this is one of the few changes they've made over the years just straight ahead this is similar to last year's pin but uphill sloping to the right this is a hole you can get daylight on for sure yeah right off the bat and right off the bat thank you flight factory for the drone flyovers and bars be looking like uh almost like robocop you could say he is he is in the zone i think that's what those glasses denote nice hyzer flip and this is a great angle as long as it hits and sits flat yeah that's great great line and yeah like you said great angle i mean i would expect just about all these guys on this card to really play into that um you know that challenge of landing the disc and getting it to stop i think they're going to do a good job i've got faith and sexton coming in you could tell he was throwing more to the high side which is a decent play oh no right into the i believe the sandbags to stop the the runoff i don't know what those are they they've got to have some they're they're it's not sand yeah it's like straw that's put into this these like tubes with netting so it's got some crazy name that we can figure out by the end of the...
