welcome disc golf fans to the front nine coverage of round two of the 2021 portland open presented by dynamic discs i'm brian earhart joined here again by nate perkins glendavier is such a beautiful property that we are playing on kind of a last stitch effort by the pro tour to keep us in portland after blue lake and milo mciver were not in play this year nate this is one of the longest courses we play is it really 13-7 it has to be one of the it is the longest course i believe pro tours ever played yeah it is insanely long the fairways are wide open and generous and you're seeing lots of rollers out here just players trying to cover ground honestly and with the wind picking up in round two we might see some more air shots to maybe stay in the fairway a little bit better moving into hole number one 540 feet funneling ob not many birdies on this hole but shout outs to noah meinsma it's been kid for getting this hole with a fairway driver incredible shot let's see if our card has the uh chops to get it as well fantastic card we're playing with today and nico is the only player in the field that i know of that is attacking this hole with a roller and he's like attacking it well with the roller look at this where is that disc going oh come back no no way that is one of the wildest first shots of a round that i've ever seen right he's in bounds well my blood pressure is up all right i'm really looking forward to seeing thomas attack this course yeah definitely tier one distance player oh yeah absolutely the next evolution of distance throwers it used to be 500 feet was the mark back in the day and now we have dudes like thomas and kevin kevin jones even beautiful hyzer flip forehand with that d2 from kev jones and these two got used to playing with each other with their battle at the masters cup last weekend adam hammes taking it down and adam going with a little bit more overstable sidearm playing it safe starting starting the round with the three on this one is not too bad and as you can hear and see with those feather banners...
