hello and welcome everybody to the front nine holes of round one of the 2021 down east players cup presented by eastern disc golf and disc box i am brian earhart joined here by a very special guest host today elaine king i am honored to have you on the microphones with me today and walking us through this wonderful west meadowbrook course the weather was beautiful the course was challenging and the women were up to the challenge you can see here that it reached a high of 80 although there was was a little bit of rain in the forecast for the first round and we have yourself deanne carey holly finley and whitney graham a fantastic card of wooded disc golfers that have toured across the country playing all the hardest courses so i'm excited to see what they do from the fpots who are sharing the same as mpo for this event correct that is correct everyone plays from the same teas and as you can see here there is a mixture of wooded holes and a little bit of open but number one is your classic wooded hole there's a narrow gap to hit in the beginning it opens up a little bit and as you can see the basket is there 319 feet from the tee okay good luck and you are going to have to commentate on yourself today always a unique experience and wait for it the opening shot and i pulled it a little bit unfortunately and that's the one tree that defines the entire hole pretty much next we have deanne carey and she's had a fantastic finishing stretch to the season i've noticed that she's added a bunch of distance her throws look really clean putts look really clean she had a great showing at the pro tour championship as well absolutely and the weekend before she took down the carolina clash a tier and so her disc slips almost all the way to the basket just hitting a late tree holly no slouch in the woods either holly loves playing in the woods but unfortunately she didn't quite get the initial gap and she found herself kicked into the left and now i have not personally watched whitney graham play disc golf but i'm excited to see her play yeah whitney's a local player uh you can see...
