welcome back disc golf fans to the final match of the first round of the 2021 disc golf pro tour match play championship presented by discmania i am brian earhart joined here yet again by nate perkins and i'm still sweating after ricky in emerson's match that was a good one huge upset huge upset and there's a potential for another one we have the seven seed james conrad going up against joel freeman and joel is another one of those wild card players that when he's on fire can compete with anybody he's really solid he does not make a lot of mistakes look at the top 10 percentage there both at 30 percent look at their strokes on the years james only has it by 11 that's incredible joel has not missed the cash all season long shout outs to statmando that that is awesome love it moving into number one they have similar they do they throw similar yeah i i asked them in the press conference who who had the distance advantage and they kind of looked at each other they wouldn't talk smack of course being the personalities that they are and they they both were like we're pretty similar from blacksburg virginia please give it up for james conrad you know nate me and you always in passing talk about different athletes and the mindsets of different athletes and i think you know on the other end of the competitive spectrum is james conrad he is competitive and yet he is not a trash talker he's not this relentless bloodthirsty competitor but he's not ego driven no but when he finds his flow state there's he's completely unstoppable from loveland colorado yeah he i mean he landed the 900 this year you know like he threw a shot that changed disc golf it brought disc golf into the this mainstream conscious it's it's pretty incredible um and then on the other side of the coin you have joel who is a relentless perfectionist and practices just obsessively wow powering kaiser there it's great to see joel back out on the road i love him as a personality i love him as an athlete yeah he brought his wife out here this time around the states and you know he spoke to us that that that meant a lot to him to be able to...
