hello and welcome everybody to the round of 16 of the 2021 disc golf pro tour match play championship presented by discmania i am brian earhart joined here by nate perkins we are in the post season nate we are in a kind of an experimental uh format for the disc golf pro tour unsanctioned event match play format and as we see we have the brackets here of the first round i love this match play is an entirely different ball game we are here at the steel club this golf course was originally designed by don ross in 1948 historic property we're about an hour north of philly we've got an exciting match we have colton montgomery disc golf pro tour winner at waco and obviously eagle mcmahon we have multiple time disc golf pro tour champion let's get into it hole number one nate 950 playing slightly uphill you have to throw 360 to even make it in bounds but you have to throw a thousand feet basically in two shots the scale two the first annual or inaugural procedure match play champ disc golfer tour match play championship at steel club presented by diskmania first on the t from boulder colorado our number one seed give it up for eagle mcmahon and this course definitely right up eagle mcmahon's ally he uh he's kind of been the golf course champion this year anytime we've stepped on a ball golf course it's been almost game over automatically with eagle yeah he has to be one of the favorites coming into this events coming into this event that the scale of the steel club is huge all of the holes are just lengthened to specifically the shapes that we know are possible from players like eagle and calvin and ricky and eagle puts one in play we have colton stepping up to the box in this match play battle our number 16 seed from birth out colorado give it up for colton montgomery and colton is no slouch with the distance as well we watched him go on a historic tear at the 2020 waco charity open eagling some really long holes to take down the victory and he's got sneaky speed that's looking good as well would you mind while we have the time nate explain to the viewers the match play format that we are playing...
