2020 MVP OPEN | RD1, B9 | Conrad, Heimburg, Dickerson, Steehler | DISC GOLF COVERAGE
The 2020 MVP Open at Maple Hill presented by MVP Disc Sports is brought to life in exclusive coverage of round one's back nine. Brian Earhart and Tristan Tanner break down the card's performance, particularly Rick Steeler's impressive start with a three-under-par score, as well as Kyle Klein's long-distance scorcher on hole number ten. The duo highlights the challenges of Maple Hill's notorious layout, which demands pinpoint accuracy and raw power. They analyze the importance of speed over shaping in this course, where even slight miscalculations can lead to easy bogeys. Notable players like Calvin Dickerson and Rick James showcase their skills, with Dickerson narrowly missing a crucial shot and James unleashing a powerful bomb that left him with a perfect line. With thanks to the Patreon supporters who enable Gatekeeper Media's coverage, this video offers an in-depth look at the strategies and techniques employed by top disc golfers at Maple Hill.

welcome back to the back nine coverage of round one of the 2020 mvp open at maple hill presented by mvp disc sports i'm brian earhart joined again by tristan tanner what's up man hey we're man we have a pretty fun card going here rick steelers lighting it up on the front nine at three under par uh he's a defending putting world champion we've seen some pretty big putts from him and our other players are playing solid rounds but nothing uh too great at the moment but this background has a lot of scoring opportunities lots of scoring opportunities and thanks again to the patreon supporters that are supporting gatekeeper media they are going to continue to bring you great disc golf content and as we move into this back nine we see quite a bit of red on these score cards just showing the teeth that maple hill does have and if you're not pinpoint with your drives as james wasn't in the front nine we see that those bogeys come pretty easily yeah for sure it seems like you can be just slightly off and really just have no chance at getting birdies or par on this course and we see kyle klein with a scorcher seven down definitely attainable for any of these players on this card right now hole number ten 380 feet straight up hill par three this is just raw power yeah this plays probably more like 480 feet or maybe even 500 feet up this hill it is almost impossible to get up to this wall it feels like and he's yelling at it to flip the left side of this fairway is a little hairy if you want to get up to this green i believe that was a dimension or an octane from rick james ripping that one oh and that's a perfect line probably gonna skip a little bit yeah that's circle one that's great that's the thing about this hole you can shape a shot but really speed is what matters most here dickerson going a little bit low oh and he just misses that guardian tree and calvin has thrown a bomb oh my gosh it was almost like the hole was made for him come on he's gonna have his little basketball shot putt into that basket wow that was an incredible drive dickerson...
