2020 GREEN MOUNTAIN CHAMPIONSHIP | RD2, F9 | McMahon, Heimburg, Propalis, Rothlisberger | Disc Golf
The 2020 Green Mountain Championship is back with Round 2 Front Nine coverage from Fox Run Meadows. Brian Earhart and Tristan Tanner provide expert analysis of the course, which features 18 holes of woods and 18 holes of OB-heavy windy distance golf. The challenging layout demands placement shots and strategic play, setting it apart from the earlier wooded Brewster course. Disc Golf legend Eagle McMahon, along with Calvin Heimburg, Jonathan Propolis, and Terry Rothlisberger from Minnesota, are among the top contenders to watch. As they tackle Fox Run Meadows, they'll face the unique obstacle of a fairway that slopes towards the out-of-bounds area, requiring precise shots and a mix of power and finesse. The discussion highlights the importance of hyzer flips, precision landing, and adapting to the course's subtle nuances.

welcome back everybody to round two front nine coverage of the 2020 green mountain championships presented by disc craft the world leader in disc sports i'm brian earhart joined here again by tristan tanner we moved to fox run meadows tristan yeah so we went from the very wooded brewster course to now a very i wouldn't say open but it's definitely more placement shots and it's totally opposite kind of golf yeah more of a link style disc golf course which i think completes the beauty that is smuggler's notch we have 18 holes of woods and 18 holes of ob uh ob heavy windy distance golf and again thank you to all patreon supporters of gatekeeper media we're going to keep bringing you great disc golf coverage throughout the next uh i guess however many years disc golf's going eagle mcmahon calvin heimer jonathan propolis from pennsylvania and terry roethlisberger from minnesota this is going to be an awesome card to watch here yeah super exciting a lot of good players eagle has plenty of distance to attack this course and and yeah i'm just excited to see how the players who played well in the woods now attack the open and we move into hole number one 600 foot par four on a nice welcome to the course we have a uh we're pretty much teeing off out of bounds and we have to shoot onto this island fairway uh in this the the subtle thing here is the fact that the fairway slopes slightly left towards the out of bounds yeah so yeah it slights slopes slightly towards the left out of bounds and then you have that slope continuing up to the green so it feels like you're always on the left side of the fairway so what feels like an easy chip hyzer with something overstable yet again will not benefit you unless you land it very precisely so a lot of players are gonna be throwing some sort of hyzer flip to uh push up this fairway as far as they can it looks like eagle's going with an md3 yeah with the hole being 600 feet you really don't need to bite off too much off the tee nice and controlled eagle and as you see here calvin calvin pulled out a driver here i believe this is one of his eagles...
