Can I Get My Revenge at Idlewild?! (Practice Round)
A disc golf player heads out to Idlewild for a practice round, sharing real-time strategy on all 18 holes before the tournament. The heat is intense, and the course sits near an airport, so flying objects and wind affect line choices. On hole one, a par-4 at 638 feet, the player explains the layup and go-for-it options, then attempts an eagle after a tee shot lands near the tree. The round includes sidearm throws, rollers, and overstable discs used to manage slopes, ditches, and tight green approaches. The player walks through how to use the basket angle, read slope, and choose between hyzer, sidearm, and flat throws based on conditions. Nature moments and quick reactions keep the pace casual, but the focus remains on building a tournament strategy. Fans can expect hole-by-hole commentary, disc selection tips, and a look at how a competitive practice round unfolds at a challenging, airport-adjacent course.

My gosh, so hot. It's so hot. Practice round time. All right, here at IDA Wild for the practice round now. It is hot as crap. And we are here today playing the course. Going to give you guys what I think I'm going to be doing on every hole, all 18 of them. Let's get right into it. The whole one par 4 638. I eagled this one last year. It was a pretty sick shot. But uh you can just lay up or just go for it. There's Obie left and right. So uh there's a lot of airplanes too cuz we're right by an airport. So here we go. I'll throw the layup first just to uh get the birdie. should be fine. >> Holy crap. What the heck was that? >> Dude, my my luck from Worlds is running over into this event. All right, two off one. Screw it. I don't care. I'm going for it. And that is a go in the basket maybe. Oh my gosh. >> Wow. >> That was a pretty good shot. I literally think that was going in. It's coming right through here. Hit the tree. Tap in eagle to start the tournament. Let's go. Two down. All right. Hole two. 601. A lot of people just like the sidearm to get out toward that path. You want to get over this ditch. Looks like they cleared out some of the bushes, so you can kind of almost see where the basket's at. But I'm going to go with a roller to try to get up into the right. It'll open my angle into the green. >> That's fine. Kind of hard to see, but that's in a really good spot. All right, probably 250 out. Just want to throw a sidearm. I like the sidearm cuz it slopes right to left. The sidearm comes back at the end. So, I think it's a more consistent shot. Toss it up there flat. You don't need me to do too much here. And that's fine. I'm going to throw again. I'm going to go a little more overstable. Try to force it over and it should land a little more down by the basket. Yeah, that one's a little bit better. You see that one dragged a little more left. That's going to check up definitely inside C1. Nature appreciation...
