Why Hunter Hates Disc Names on Coverage | Grip Locked Clips

Hunter discusses his frustration with disc names being used on coverage clips from the Disc Golf Network. He believes it's become a crutch for players and adds little value to the analysis. Hunter points out that it can also be seen as free advertising for companies that pay players to appear on lead card, which is not an issue he prioritizes. Instead, his main concern is that disc names often provide no additional insight or analysis, making them seem like a lazy cop-out. Hunter notes that great use of disc naming came from Drew Gibson's Joker throw, but even then, it was more about the play itself than the disc being identified. Overall, Hunter shares his thoughts on the role of disc names in coverage clips and why they've become less useful in his opinion.
