We Combined Disc Golf and Ultimate Frisbee?!
Combine the strategic precision of disc golf with the high-energy catching mechanics of Ultimate Frisbee in this exciting gameplay challenge. Reigning champions Connor and Tyler face off against challengers Sai and their host in a revamped version of their popular hybrid format. The core objective involves navigating a disc golf course where players must successfully catch their partner’s throws rather than just putting them in baskets, adding a layer of difficulty and teamwork to every hole. The episode highlights the versatility of Elevation discs, specifically showcasing how their rubber-infused materials allow for unique shot shapes that stay in place after landing. Viewers learn about the specific "Koi" mold’s effectiveness for upshots and side hills, noting its ability to remain stationary even on uneven terrain. Additionally, the group tests the upcoming "Bendy Plastic" version of the Koi, exploring its suitability for drivers while maintaining enough flexibility for the catching element of the game. The comparison extends to other popular molds like the Aviar and the Binx driver, demonstrating how different plastic types and densities impact both flight performance and catch reliability. This fun twist on traditional sports highlights the adaptability of disc equipment and the enduring appeal of friendly competition between the four athletes.

What is good foundation nation? Today we're playing a little disc golf >> [music] >> with a catch. The catch is uh hopefully the person down in the middle of the fairway. >> Yeah, catching the disc. >> It's kind of like goldsmith frisbee. So, we did this a while ago and y'all seemed to really enjoy it. Uh we're going to run it back. Connor and Tyler reigning champs. >> Woo! >> So, me and Sai are going to be taking on the reigning champs. >> of where me and Sai fell in love. >> is brought to you by Elevation, which is what makes this challenge kind of possible because if you don't know Elevation, majority of their discs are made with rubber making them super gummy. You've seen Tyler use the Koi all the time. These things their claim to fame is you can throw up shots and they not roll away. Throw them into side hills, throw them however you want. Connor showed us this last time. Let's try it again, huh? Oh, yeah. >> Do it again. >> Well, this one actually is actually one of their plastic molds. So, this is bendy plastics. This is still a Koi, which is what Tyler throws, but instead it's made of plastic and this is coming in November. But, if I did it with a disc like this, which this is still gummy, so it might work. But, just >> That's your typical plastic. >> But, then like I said, they started to make some discs in bendy plastic, which kind of feels like your you know, flex line plastic from other manufacturers. So, what's good about this is if you like the Koi for those up shots, you like the feel of the mold, and you're someone like me who wants to be a mold minimalist, but you're like, "Man, I wish I had something a little stiffer that's more like plastic for my drives." This is a great option. And for our purposes today, it's still soft enough that we can still use it as a catch disc. So, we've got the Aviar and I just showed you. This is just in their like glow plastic. We have the Binx, which is their driver, seven speed. This one, you know, we might break out for catching, but it's a little bit scary. And then we...
