Trevor Thinks There Should Be More Statistics | Grip Locked Clips

Trevor discusses the importance of statistics in disc golf, particularly when it comes to putting. Inspired by a tournament experience where he switched to a new putter and saw significant improvement, Trevor advocates for incorporating more detailed statistics into gameplay analysis. He shares his thoughts on why traditional c1x stats are misleading and proposes alternative methods to better assess performance. Specifically, Trevor suggests considering a split-the-difference approach, where 10-20 footers are considered a success rate, rather than the current system of giving a specific percentage value to each distance category. By exploring these ideas, viewers can gain a deeper understanding of what truly drives a golfer's success and how statistics can inform their gameplay strategy.

Watch Trevor discuss adding stats to disc golf with pros sharing strategies & insights from the Foundation Disc Golf tournament.

yes literally one time at a tournament my put the same exact thing my putting was so bad literally any any change would make it better because it was so bad couldn't make anything and so you guys were there for the second round i switched to the putter that they gave us in the players pack there you go never never thrown it before i felt it i was like this feels kind of good i'm putting with this the whole reason how'd it go they were in of a bullfrogs was it better it was better yeah my putt was better just because i was like i really don't care yeah i didn't care at that point and so every putt was like well this is fun and i did way better it also becomes a strategy too of like once it gets in your head you get to like a 50-footer and you're like i can't run this i think you should we should keep full u-disc stats when we play the flex start okay so we can like go over our c1x buddy okay what do you think if you are like have a normal putting day like what are you putting c one x i mean i hate the c one x stat because i mean like how many thirds right it's such a stupid stuff i'm gonna say like 60 yeah i would say if i was putting i would say i was putting well 60 would be yeah i think about money you're so right because like we're not missing 10 footers yeah like if i'm putting if i'm putting great and i'm if i'm throwing great i'm only having 12 footers i could put 100 c1x yeah such a dumpster but if i'm throwing if i'm throwing poorly and i'm giving myself 27 footers every time i could i could put worse than javelina i wouldn't even be greedy like just even give me 10 to 20 and 20 to 30. like just even just split it in half and like that already does a ton of work for that very misleading statistic circle two is just as bad because circle two you can just have that's fine on twitter i took a screenshot of a 35 footer of evelina said evelyn a winning tournament with zero percent c1x putting right now...
