trevor posted a blog that i just promoted on twitter on foundation's twitter it's called show me the money the changing transparency of disc golf financials i thought it was a pretty good topic so essentially you got to read the blog if you want all the details but essentially it talks about the pros and cons of disc golf contracts being public and i wanted to pull out one quote that you had here trevor that i liked only one you like i like one sentence i'll take that no um i'm gonna ratio this guy that is funny uh you said this think about it this way if some player you've never heard of has a breakout season and beats paul macbeth more times than paul beats him is he worth one million per year meaning will he sound will he sell more products in the legend of the game and wildly popular disc golfer paul mcbeth of course he won't this is why i get concerned when i see the disc golf industry paying out new contracts seemingly factoring in what paul was paid because it came public the athletes now have the numbers to bring the table when negotiating i just wonder if these numbers are too big to begin with yeah so that's a very good point yeah so this actually i actually got the idea for this whole article well things were already trending this direction but eric mccabe quoted had a quote where he they asked him about ricky's contract and this is not against eric mccabe because eric mccabe you represent a business like you got to talk that talk but he said when he was talk asked about the the amount of money they paid ricky he said well paul got that deal so i think it just made sense to give ricky that yeah his exact quote from ultra world says at the end of the day a million year just makes sense because that's what paul's getting and ricky and with ricky is the number one player in the world coming back here just makes sense so that that absolutely like the way you if you if that's if that is how disc golfers earn companies money by being good at disc golf which in a way they do but not completely then that makes complete sense however the...
