uh thoughts on the disc golf reds are trying to standardize the baskets uh for tour events i'm sure players will love it but how will the manufacturers react um and will it force more advert advertisement on players yeah i saw this uh i believe this is all stemming i saw it on a reddit post where paige pierce apparently said in an interview i actually have the quote handy she said the disc golf pro tour is in the process of making their own basket so that we won't go on end of a basket and then the and then a disc craft basket and then a prodigy basket we're just going to have one standard basket for all pro tour events it's just a matter of time when that's going to happen it's coming uh only thing i didn't like about that statement is that the disc golf pro tour is in the process of making their own basket um i think they're just denying a revenue stream there where you could sell the rights to be the official basket of the pro tour for like a five-year contract or something and i mean that would be worth who knows how much because everyone's going to want to put in the official basket of the pro tour and so you could sell that to prodigy innova dga whoever but i like the idea of there being a standard basket because i mean it's kind of a cool thing where like players have to think about what basket they're putting on here and there but it's got to also be frustrating week in and week out to not have just standard equipment when it comes to baskets and tees because then i i don't know every other sport it just makes sense there's a reason every other sport has standard equipment when it comes to like a basketball hoop and stuff like that when it goes to a league or the basketball ball in the league um but i do think that it would have made more sense to have a manufacturer like pay to be the official basket versus what paige said the pro tours in the process of making their own basket but i'd like to hear brody's take on it as a as a pro to our player he might have a different perspective i...
