Rangefinders in Disc Golf (Heated Debate) - Grip Locked Clip

Rangefinders have sparked heated debate among disc golf enthusiasts, particularly Eagle's decision to use a rangefinder during his lie approach. The issue revolves around whether the widespread adoption of rangefinders at the highest level undermines the competitive nature of the game. Mark's experience with using a rangefinder in his practice round has led him to question its role in professional disc golf. Disc golf fans have long believed that the game needs to be made more challenging, with some arguing that rangefinders make it too easy for pros to score consistently high scores like 14 down per round. The use of rangefinders is seen as a potential threat to the sport's authenticity and competitive balance. Hunter's own experience with a Bushnell rangefinder has raised questions about its impact on the game, while the PGA Tour's adoption of rangefinders in practice rounds serves as an exception rather than the rule. As the use of rangefinders continues to grow, it remains to be seen how they will shape the future of disc golf.

the this was brought up in reference to this situation that basically i wrote out a little description of it basically eagle approaches his lie then pulls out a range finder yeah well there's another problem oh gosh mark's like checks out the how far away he is from the basket then puts the rangefinder back into his bag then picks out his disc and then grabs his whale sack dries his hand off and then approaches his lie once he approached his lie he didn't take an excessive time okay well here's the here's the the issue with that is the rangefinders well in reference to time or in reference to rangefinders in general okay okay so the rangefinder is a part of that time and it's becoming more popular and it's an issue why everybody everybody is all excited about this disc golf rangefinder crazy i don't know if i'm like about to come out what is about to come out of your mouth because i just got my bushnell whoa here's the thing hunter you're in luck because you're not on the pro tour that's valid okay but i will be using it at my local cta yeah and that's fine if you go to your local golf club you are you're gonna see guys using rangefinders and that's great like they can do that but at the highest level using a rangefinder nobody can argue that using a rangefinder is not a competitive advantage okay so you say well everybody can use it so what's wrong with that well disc golf is too easy for the pros they're shooting like 14 down like every other round okay that's like that's been a pretty common consensus amongst disc golf fans that disc golf needs to find ways to make the game more difficult so why encourage the use of rangefinders it makes the game easier that's backwards progress now is it a good thing is it fine that these rangefinders exist to scout out courses in your practice rounds beforehand absolutely that's perfectly fine on the pga tour for example um the players and caddies it'll be the caddies but in this case it'd probably be the players because you know we're not there yet the caddies will go out to the course during the practice rounds or whatever they will go to all the places that...
